Activity: Building Words (Grades K-2)

1. Use letter cards, tiles and/or word building word programs to create CVC words. (Teacher recommendation: Alive Studios: Building Words)
2. Have students build a word under a document camera.
3. Then, using the Qball, have student tap-out and say sounds followed by reading the whole word.
4. Ask classmates to repeat and pass the Qball.
** Note: You can change it up by giving students more/less letter choices.
